OFCCP urges contractors to file objections to FOIA release of EEO-1 data by 10 Dec 2024

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has announced a deadline of 10 December 2024, for federal contractors to object to a FOIA request that would disclose Type 2 EEO-1 reports for 2021. Such reports include:

Employee counts categorized by job category, race/ethnicity, and gender
Company's total number of employees
Data on the distribution of workers across various employment levels
Details about the company's federal contract information

Contractors must submit objections via OFCCP’s portal or email if they believe the data includes confidential commercial information under FOIA Exemption 4. OFCCP will evaluate timely objections before deciding on public disclosure.
