Hyatt Place tests paid breakfast model
Hotel brands' preference for partner-owners over customers continues as Hyatt Place, the upscale select-service brand known for included complimentary breakfast, is piloting a paid breakfast model at over 40 U.S. locations, according to the Points Guy. The trial allows guests to choose between rates with or without breakfast included, which could be rolled out to the brand’s 400 locations.
Under the pilot program, breakfast costs vary, with reports suggesting around $11-$14 per person. World of Hyatt Globalist members would continue to receive free breakfast. This isn't Hyatt's first attempt to modify its breakfast policy; a similar test in 2018 resulted in limiting free breakfast to World of Hyatt members.
